About Grice Community Consulting

I’m Brian Grice, founder of Grice Community Consultants and a lifelong advocate for inclusion, accessibility, and community well-being. With more than 20 years of professional experience spanning municipal governance, education, social services, and community advocacy, my work is guided by the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered in the spaces where they live, work, and play.

Throughout my career, I’ve led initiatives focused on accessibility planning, DEI and belonging strategies, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. I’ve developed and implemented action plans, coordinated multi-partner strategies, and facilitated equity-driven public consultations that help communities deliver more inclusive and effective services.

My professional path has taken me from supporting children and families as an Educational Assistant and Treatment Foster Caregiver to guiding complex, system-level projects that influence policy, funding, and service delivery. I hold certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, accessibility compliance (AODA), anti-stigma and suicide prevention (SafeTALK, ASIST), mental health, inclusive recreation, human rights, and project management — all of which shape how I help organizations turn vision into measurable, meaningful impact.

This work is also deeply personal. As a parent of children with complex needs, I understand the importance of advocacy, creativity, and persistence in navigating barriers. That lived experience fuels my commitment to helping others build stronger, more equitable, and compassionate communities.
